Robotics & AI

Robotics & AI Curriculum at Dayapuram School

Academic Year 2025–26 Onwards

Dayapuram School is proud to introduce a comprehensive Robotics and AI curriculum for students from Kindergarten to Grade 5, starting from the academic year 2025–26. This forward-looking program is designed to nurture creativity, problem-solving, and technological thinking from an early age through engaging, hands-on learning experiences

Learning Through Exploration and Innovation

The Robotics curriculum at Dayapuram School moves beyond traditional classroom learning by encouraging students to learn by doing. The program is carefully structured to be age-appropriate, experiential, and progressive, ensuring that students develop a strong foundation in computational thinking and engineering concepts.

Robotics for Kindergarten (KG)

For our youngest learners, the focus is on no-screen coding and robotics. KG students use child-friendly programmable robotics kits that allow them to:

  • Understand basic logic and sequencing
  • Develop spatial awareness and motor skills
  • Learn problem-solving through play and storytelling
  • Build curiosity and confidence in technology

This screen-free approach ensures safe, joyful, and meaningful learning experiences.

Robotics & Coding for Grades 1 to 5

Students from Grade 1 to Grade 5 are introduced to microcontroller-based programming and robotics, where learning becomes more hands-on and exploratory. Through guided projects, students will:

  • Learn the basics of microcontroller programming
  • Work with sensors, motors and actuators
  • Understand how machines sense, think and act
  • Design, build and test robots for real-world requirements

Tools & Technologies Used

As part of the curriculum, students will create robotics and AI-based projects using industry-relevant tools such as:

  • Micro:bit
  • Arduino
  • Various sensors (light, sound, motion, distance, etc)
  • Motors and actuators
  • Programmable robotics kits

Designing Robots to Solve Problems

A key highlight of the program is design thinking. Students are encouraged to:

  • Identify a problem or requirement
  • Plan and design a robotic solution
  • Build and program their own robot
  • Test, improve, and present their creations

This approach helps students connect technology with real-world applications.

Building Skills for the Future

Through the Robotics and AI curriculum, students at Dayapuram School develop:

  • Logical and computational thinking
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Collaboration and communication skills
  • Confidence in using technology
  • Early exposure to AI and robotics concepts

Shaping Young Innovators

By introducing Robotics and AI education at an early stage, Dayapuram School continues its commitment to preparing students for a technology-driven future—empowering them not just to use technology, but to create it.

Empowering the Next Generation, Together

Dayapuram has partnered with CyberSquare, a UK-based edutech platform, to provide a specialized curriculum and comprehensive training for our students.
